Many monitoring, measurement, and characterization tasks in today's industrial neighborhood are based on traditional ultrasonic sensors. With its compactness and high efficiency, the micromachined ultrasonic transducer (MUT) has further promoted the development of ultrasonic sensors and has developed and innovated many new application areas. However, for many small and medium-sized enterprises, the investment cost of developing such a MUT is too high. Therefore, the three institutes of the Fraunhofer Association have jointly developed a technology transformation platform to help small and medium-sized enterprises develop MUTs suitable for their own application scenarios. Based on this platform, the institute will develop new micromechanical components and new products together with industrial partners. At the seminar in July this year, they will demonstrate how to easily integrate MUT into existing systems.
